The Lost Dollar

Three friends check into a motel for the night and the clerk tellsthem the bill is $30, payable in advance. So, they each pay the clerk$10 and go to their room.
A few minutes later, the clerk realizes hehas made an error and overcharged the trio by $5. He asks the bellhopto return $5 to the 3 friends who had just checked in.
The bellhopsees this as an opportunity to make $2 as he reasons that the three friends would have a tough time dividing $5 evenly among them; so he decides to tell them that the clerk made a mistake of only $3, giving a dollar back to each of the friends. He pockets the leftover $2 and goes home for the day!
Now, each of the three friends gets a dollarback, thus they each paid $9 for the room which is a total of $27 forthe night. We know the bellhop pocketed $2 and adding that to the$27, you get $29, not $30 which was originally spent. Where did the other dollar go????

Is there a santa claus? - a physicist view

Consider the following:

1. No known species of reindeer can fly. But there are 300,000 species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of these are insects and germs, this does not COMPLETELY rule out flying reindeer which only Santa has ever seen.

2. There are 2 billion children (persons under 18) in the world. BUT since Santa doesn't (appear) to handle the Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Buddhist children, that reduces the workload to 15% of the total - 378 million according to Population Reference Bureau. At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per household, that's 91.8 million homes. One presumes there's at least one good child in each.

3. Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical).

This works out to 822.6 visits per second. This is to say that for each Christian household with good children, Santa has 1/1000th of a second to park, hop out of the sleigh, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left, get back up the chimney, get back into the sleigh and move on to the next house.

ALOHA!

im back again~

ytd we all went to pick liu ding.. its damn fun siah!
all of us have a competition to see hu can pick most of the liu ding..

hahhas..

but my sis, SINTA, only took part in the last competition..

after tat, we went to look for four leaves clover.. but me and my cousin stopped looking for it and continue to pick liu dings tat we are going to bring home..

it was sooo fun, i dont really wan to go home..

hahhas..

anyway..
show is coming this saturday.. i ask my cousin whether we can see him and she said that if we really want to see him, we had to go earlier..

hmm..
ive bought an alchemist book.. quite small but its fun reading it anyway.

Long time never blog le.. too lazy..
Then syeh yin want me to blog and so I'm here..
Tml got camp..I hate camp!!!!!!!!! especially the sleeping part, later sleep halfway got bugs.. ARGHHH!!! So scary..

This morning go and learn French. Hmm, then I pack my bag for the camp. Actually wanted to use my own travelling bag, but spoilt liao and my father throw it away le..
Then my mom go and search for another bag in the store room. found a very big bag, mum said that its the bag that my father brought to France. Very big. Think can use tat one..

Then syeh yin said that she finish doing the blogskin. I check it. Very Nice!!! Especially Roy Mustang!!! So handsome~ haha.. Thanks Syeh Yin!!

Maybe later I go and watch FMA or Fruits Basket... Hmm.. hope tml will never every come.. I hate camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
